Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling provides people living with HIV/AIDS with a caring person (peer counselor) living with or deeply affected by HIV/AIDS. The peer counselors conduct intake interviews with new clients, help locate treatment options, find appropriate referrals for special needs, provide emotional support, and help facilitate the problem-solving process with clients. Peer counselors assist clients in becoming self-empowered.

If you’re coming in for an intake interview with a peer counselor, please bring picture identification, proof of income, a copy of your social security and health insurance cards, and emergency contact information.

For more information, contact Vera Bowlby,
Peer Counseling Coordinator at 520-628-7223 or by .
