Honoring Terry Mills after 15 years of service
After 15 years of dedicated service to the HIV/AIDS community in Pima County, Terry Mills is retiring as a case manager at SAAF effective September 30. Terry has been doing HIV case management work since 1992, starting her case management career with the Tucson AIDS Project. During her employment with TAP, Terry was assigned to work on-site at PACT, the People with AIDS Coalition – Tucson. Terry later became part of the SAAF team when TAP, PACT, and Shanti all merged into one agency. At SAAF, in addition to her day-to-day role as a case manager, Terry was also a “benefits resource” to clients as well as staff. Terry helped countless clients enroll in the telephone assistance program which she oversaw.
We honor Terry for the fifteen years she has committed herself to HIV/AIDS work. In addition to missing Terry, we will miss her frog collection and, most of all, Terry’s colorful costumes, seemingly for every occasion and holiday; we suspect we haven’t seen the last of Terry! We wish Terry the very best as she embarks on a new journey with her retirement.
