SAAF’s New Executive Director: Wendell Hicks
I began my career in HIV/AIDS health services as a
volunteer in 1989, so for me, this is a homecoming of sorts.
I am grateful to be able to be part of a wonderful
organization with a primary focus on people infected and
affected by this epidemic, where my passion began and
continues.
The reputation of Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation is
what drew me to accept this challenge. That reputation
has obviously been built upon the efforts of a dedicated
board, staff, and the incredible generosity of a nurturing
and supportive community.
To be in the company of such people is indeed an exciting
prospect where we can continue to strive to truly make a
difference in so many lives.
