Volunteer Appreciation

On April 25, 2007, the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) recognized volunteers at their annual Volunteer Recognition Celebration at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. More than 125 volunteers, friends and staff attended.

The following awards were presented:

Food For Life – Delores Ceballos and Knights of Pythias
Jean Cicci Peer Counseling – John Jackson

Longtime Volunteer – Gary Phelan
Media Leadership – Access Tucson
New Volunteer – Morgan Schafer
New Prevention Services – Dayon Burnett

Steve Gottlieb, second vice-president of the board of directors was the master of ceremonies and SAAF Executive Director Anne Maley was on hand to welcome the guests and present two awards.

The event was coordinated by Volunteer Resources Manager Lisa Carter and Volunteer Resources Coordinator Danielle Walsh, and committee members Jessica Celentano, Krista Balmer, Vera Bowlby and Hector Quiroz.
