The Volunteer Program's History

The volunteer program at SAAF is called Community Education and Resources (formerly the Volunteer Resources Program).  The program offers both volunteer support to all areas of SAAF in addition to providing vital outreach to the community.

Since its earliest beginnings, SAAF has relied on volunteers to provide much-needed client services as well as prevention outreach and that still holds true today.  Volunteers are given training, continuing education, and staff support to acquire the skills needed to take on important roles throughout the agency.

Community Education and Resources (CR) provides monthly orientations to new volunteers, as well as quarterly advanced trainings for more specialized volunteer positions.
